Potassium Iodide Anti-Radiation Tablets (130mg, 60ct)

(7 customer reviews)

Why Should I Stock Potassium Iodide?

According to the CDC, in some radiation emergencies (usually nuclear power plant accidents), radioactive iodine may be released into the environment and enter the body through breathing or eating. This is known as internal contamination.

When the thyroid absorbs high levels of radioactive iodine, it can increase the risk of thyroid cancer in infants, children, and young adults many years after exposure. The thyroid is a gland in the neck that plays an important role in many body functions.

Potassium Iodide may be used as a thyroid blocker during a nuclear radiation emergency. Radioactive Iodine (I-131) can destroy the thyroid of humans and animals. Even small amounts of I-131 can cause cancer of the thyroid. By taking Potassium Iodide (KI), the thyroid becomes saturated with “good iodine” and cannot absorb the “bad iodine” I-131.

How KI Protects the Thyroid

KI and radioactive iodine are both types of iodine. According to the CDC, they are both absorbed by the thyroid. For KI to work, a person must take it before or shortly after exposure to radioactive iodine. When a person takes the right amount of KI at the right time, it can help block the thyroid from absorbing radioactive iodine. This happens because the thyroid has already absorbed the KI, and there is no room to absorb the radioactive iodine.

After going through the change of life I started suffering with severe dry eye especially since I sit at a computer screen all day. I have tried everything, eye plugs (expensive), every brand of eye drop, even prescription, I barely got any relief at all. Then I happened upon a YouTube Vlogger talking about how adding Iodine to her daily routine greatly improved her Thyroid issues….Who knew! I hesitated in writing this review, afraid it could jinx my success, but it’s too good not to share, if this could help someone else. After taking this Iodine supplement for 3 weeks, I have no signs of Dry Eye…Like I’m not kidding! It feels like a miracle, and believe me, I’ve prayer for relief, I’m still having a bit of a hard time even believing it myself. So if you’re reading this and you have Thyroid Issues and/or Dry Eye Issues, give this a shot, it literally has changed my life! I am a little ticked that it took me 2 years to find this on my own…looks like as many times as I’ve been to my GYN she could have shared this miracle mineral secret with me!

I don’t normally write reviews and waited until after my bloodwork to write this review. I started taking in August 2022 when I was told my TSH was 11.4. I did a lot of research and told my doctor that I was starting this because I don’t like taking meds. We tried it for 4 months and just had bloodwork done. The number went from 11.4 to 1.5! Plus it lowered my blood pressure that I only have to take half a dose now, and my kidneys are great! The doctor is monitoring this every six months. I’ll check back in July and let you know how things are going.

My prof background is in medicine. I strongly believe all supplements shud be FDA approved, but they aren’t. In USA the most unbiased supplement approval is USPhowever only NatureMade& Kirkland are the only 2 brands. I do use Thorne, NaureMade, PureEbcapsulations, Nordic, USDA organic Teas (teas are FDA approved)
